The designer behind La Divina

Inspired by his Greek heritage, Christos Hatzivasiliou presents an artistic creation featuring “La Divina on the golden peak of the performance art mountain” for the 2024 Venice edition of the Maria Callas Monaco Gala & Awards.

This sculpture is a tribute to the timeless nature of artistic achievement and the relentless pursuit of excellence.

The figure of Maria Callas represents an idealized form, capturing both her essence and her ambitions as an artist.

By placing Maria Callas at the peak, I aim to symbolize her creative effort as a tribute to her persistent endeavor to perfect her craft.
The shape of the sculpture reflects strength, grace, and an eternal presence, embodying the unceasing spirit of the artist who continually seeks to transcend boundaries.
